Get YOUR Personal Credit Report

Your credit report is like your financial passport. When you apply for credit, lenders will use it to make decisions about you based on the information it contains. A healthy credit report will better your chances of being approved for a credit card, a mortgage, a bank loan and many more credit-related products. The more you know about what's on your credit file, how it's used and what you can do to improve your credit rating or score, the more likely it is that you’ll get the credit you need at better rates.

If you check your credit report regularly it can also help you spot if someone is using your name or details fraudulently.

Here are two great ways you can access a credit report that uses data from TransUnion.

There are two ways you can access your credit report:

1. Statutory Credit Report

The Consumer Credit Act gives you the right to request your statutory credit file from TransUnion. Your statutory credit file will provide access to details about your credit accounts, missed payments and the people who you have financial links to. You can also choose whether you'd like to receive it online or by post.

2. Credit Karma

Free access to your credit report and score for life from Credit Karma using information from TransUnion. Along with your monthly credit report, score and credit rating, Credit Karma can also help you find the loans and credit cards suitable for your credit rating – making sure you only apply for the products which you’re most likely to be accepted for. Credit Karma is a credit broker and not a lender.
