Direct Sales

The direct sales team within Marketing Solutions actively identifies and provides consumer data driven solutions to clients looking to acquire new customers, as well as retain existing ones. The direct sales team provide this by offering CAMEO UK - A powerful consumer segmentation tool that classifies all UK postcodes for customer profiling, prospect targeting, analysis & retail planning.

Every member of the team receives extensive training in all aspects of the above solutions to ensure they are providing the right services, at the right time to their clients.  With one of TransUnion’s main goals being achieving a ‘World Beating’ sales status, ongoing training is a theme throughout and this is provided both internally and externally to ensure a broad skillset is maintained by all members of the team.

Continued investment in people and products means the team excels with each team member generating  an extensive yet prosperous client base.  With proactive and knowledgeable account management, the team nurtures clients from inception and this ensures lasting business relationships with clients.

The teams support the wider business to ensure opportunities that fall outside of their remit are optimised.

Through maintaining relationships both on the telephone and face-to-face with clients, the direct sales teams have dramatically improved revenues for businesses through delivering exceptional customer service within account management which has resulted in successful business outcomes.

The roles in the Credit Solutions direct sales team consist of Lead Generators, Sales people and the support team, with the majority of work being outbound and over the phone. Some team members will also visit clients or attend conferences and events in order to improve sector knowledge, increase brand awareness and create leads to follow up back at the office.

The main Lead Generator team deal with sectors that are regulated and need to carry out Anti Money Laundering or credit checks within their business, whereas our smaller Senior Lead Generation  team deal with more niche sectors that are not regulated. They are also given the opportunity to scope for new sectors to deal with, finding the information needed and putting forward ideas to the management team for consideration. On a daily basis these two teams are tasked with booking in online demonstrations of Callcredit’s products for the Sales team to carry out.

Job progression is readily available with people usually starting in a Lead Generation role and then progressing to Sales and gaining more responsibility through account management. We have also had multiple team members move to different divisions across the business including Client Management.
